A physician will review your completed intake form information and determine which weight loss medication best meets your medical needs, as well as answer any questions you might have about medication interactions during your initial doctor visit. GLP-1 medications can be safely taken with other common prescription medications—including those for blood pressure, thyroid, and diabetes—and have no contraindications with other prescription or over-the-counter medications.

According to clinical studies, the most common symptoms associated with the use of GLP-1 medications are gastrointestinal symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and constipation. Other common adverse effects include injection site reactions, headache, and nasopharyngitis, but these effects do not usually result in discontinuation of the drug.
