For men who have trouble with getting and keeping an erection, it can be easy to blame the situation on a number of factors and brush off any major concern. Sexual health and performance do rely on a number of elements and working pieces, so it is only natural to assume your challenges might be a one-time concern. However, if you are consistently experiencing erection problems or decreased sexual interest, you may be showing signs of erectile dysfunction. This is a common cause of sexual trouble in men past the age of forty, although younger men can suffer from ED as well. The trouble with ED is that affects more than just your sex drive and performance, it can impact other areas as well.
Sexual Health and Noticeable Changes
For men, good sexual health depends on the ability of the penis to obtain and sustain an erection. There are several things that work together to make this happen. Within the penis are major arteries that supply the blood flow to two chambers, which when filled, cause a hard erection. There are also muscles in the penis which need to be relaxed in order to open the arteries for increased blood flow. These muscles are relaxed through arousal and can be induced through sexual thoughts or physical stimulation. After an orgasm, nerve signals sent to the penis cause the muscles to contract and release the blood back into the body. This cause the erection to come down. Although it is common for men to experience a problem with erection every now and then, something that happens routinely when having sex or is getting progressively worse is not normal and should be treated.
Common Causes of ED
If you know the underlying cause of ED, the treatment plan and solution will be more accurate and effective at improving your condition. Erectile dysfunction can happen in the event of the following situations:
Studies are showing the men with ED have a higher risk of developing circulatory problems, suffering a stroke, or having a heart attack. Beyond physical conditions, men with erectile disinfection are report problem with low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and relationship stress.
It is also helpful to know the risk factors for developing ED, as early warning signs can be more quickly identified if you fall into any of these categories. Even though men who are aging tend to develop ED more commonly, aging itself isn’t always enough to cause erectile dysfunction.
Finding Solutions
If you have reported any concerns to your physician, several exams or tests might be done to determine your condition. You might first be asked to complete a questionnaire that rates your abilities with initiating and keeping erections as well as assessing your overall sexual satisfaction and problems achieving orgasms. An exam that focuses on the genital will check for ED, but it could also include a check of the heart and blood system. Your physician will take into account family history and your age or other risk factors. The tests conducted are not painful, and many patients will not need a lot of testing before they are able to begin treatment. In some cases, your physician may require a blood test or urine sample to check for any underlying health problems that could be causing your erectile dysfunction.
Treatment Options
The primary starting place for ED treatment works to improve your heart and vascular health. You may be asked to make lifestyle changes in order to minimize or mitigate the risk factors that are affecting your sexual health. You might need to change your diet, increase your exercise and activity, stop smoking, using drugs, and consuming alcohol. You may be prescribed alternative medications for your health conditions, as some prescriptions interact negatively with your sexual process. The health care provider may also look for emotional problems that are contributing to your disorder, and may recommend ways to reduce the emotional stress that affects your performance.
The first choice for treatments are often non-invasive, and many of the more well-known treatments have been documented as being successful. Oral prescriptions are generally the initial recommendation of your provider, as these pills work to supplement many of the erection elements that may be underperforming. The effectiveness of the Mt. Everest pill can be attributed to the three-element composition that the compound delivers. Rather than the singular focus of widely advertised solutions like Cialis or Viagra, the Everest delivers medication that improves erection ability, increased sexual appetite, and a heightened sense of pleasure. This treatment requires a prescription, but it is well worth the investment.
