Carnitine is a chemical compound with a composition similar to a natural amino acid produced in the body. It can help the body turn fat into energy, which may aid in weight loss and overall healthy body composition.

Side Effects
Carnitine can be consumed through two means, IV or oral. In case of IV, Carnitine is relatively safe to use. However, oral consumption for more than 12 months can have some side effects including, nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, heartburn, diarrhea, and seizures. It can also cause urine, breath, and sweat to have a "fishy" odor.
