Take the Flavor Train to Diet Town

The things you put on your plate have a lot to do with your weight and overall health. Unfortunately, it is much easier to load up your diet with sweet snack cakes, flavored drinks, and comfort foods loaded with starchy carbohydrates than it is to scarf down a kale salad with oil and vinegar dressing. You may be in a habit of satisfying your sweet tooth, but these flavors only lead to increased belly fat and poor health.

Boring Diet Solutions

When people are honest about the idea of going on a diet, you often hear a few common excuses. There is no time to add exercise regimens to their daily schedule. They can’t afford to buy all that healthy, organic food. Or, the more common complaint, they don’t like the taste of vegetables or things that are healthy. If these are some of the reasons you have avoided working on your weight, at least you are in good company. However, not all dieting solutions need to be intimidating, boring, and tasteless. While you will always need to be conscious of the foods you are choosing when following a weight loss protocol, following a program that uses the HCG diet can make your diet more interesting. This plan encourages your body to tap into stored fat for energy and fuel, creating the opportunity for decreased physical intake without feelings of starvation or hopelessness. If your body is able to burn through excess fat without spending hours each day at the gym, you free up the time you need to work on your eating habits. Training to eat well is just as important as losing weight.

Discover the Excitement of Flavor

To be honest, the same foods can get very boring after a while. The best way to enjoy your diet is to make your food taste good. Healthy food shouldn’t be bland and tasteless. Infusing your meal with a variety of herbs and spices can create a flavorful party in your mouth, but there are some herbs that have known to help with weight loss. They can help fight against cravings and increase the body’s metabolism to help with fat burning.

1.  Cumin. A deep earthy spice, the Cuminum cyminum is a flowering plant that is a part of the parsley family. This spice has a distinct nutty flavor, and it pairs well with lean meat dishes and vegetables of all kinds. Cumin is made from the dried, ground seeds of the plant, and there have been several studies that support this spice as beneficial to increased fat burning. One eight-week study found that adults who had taken cumin supplements three times a day ended up losing an average of 2.2 pounds over the other participants that took a placebo pill.

2. Cinnamon. This is an aromatic spice that comes from the interior bark of the Cinnamomum genus trees. This fairly common spice in dessert dishes, but you don’t need to limit it to this category. In fact, you can take advantage of the healthy antioxidants it contains by sprinkling some into your granola or fruit smoothly. There have been studies that show cinnamon to be effective at stabilizing blood sugar. Keeping your blood sugar levels on track can help with hunger suppression. This happens through a compound in cinnamon that mimics the properties of insulin and transports sugar out of the bloodstream to the cells for energy. It has also been shown instrumental in slowing the breakdown of carbohydrates, which can lead to a decreased appetite.

3. Cayenne Pepper. If you like to add a little heat to your plate, this type of chili pepper brings both the spice and weight management properties to your meal. Cayenne pepper contains capsaicin, and in addition to being the compound that brings the heat, it also brings you many health benefits. There has been an indication that cayenne can help boost your metabolism, increasing the number of calories you are able to burn throughout the day.

4. Ginger. This is a spice that has been included in ancient medicine practices all over the world. The flowering ginger plant Zingiber officale has been used to treat a variety of ailments, but there are research studies that indicate it can be beneficial if you are trying to lose weight. Ginger helps increase the body’s metabolism, which burns through more calories and stored body fat. It also improves the body’s ability to resist fat absorption and appetite.

If you are thinking about starting a diet, get excited about the prospects of trying new foods and flavors. It will definitely create a more appetizing and satisfying weight loss journey.
