HCG Diet Grapefruit Smoothie Recipe
When you're on the HCG diet plan, every calorie counts and you have to be extremely careful to avoid consuming too many calories. There are plenty of low calorie recipes that you can use for the diet that include HCG approved foods and that won't put you over your daily limit very easily. Smoothies are some of the best recipes for the HCG diet because of how easy that they are to make and how low in calories they are, and you can very easily scale them up. HCG diet smoothies are a perfect choice for a snack or a small meal and they can definitely help you get through Phase 2 of the diet.

Smoothie recipes can work great with the HCG diet, just remember that you need to modify them to remove ingredients that are not approved for the diet like whey protein and dairy and other ingredients. You may have to remove several ingredients for a particular smoothie recipe that you want for the diet, but it's still worth it because most smoothie recipes are so low in calories. You won't usually need to make very many changes for the healthier smoothie recipes, but there are some that really aren't compatible with the HCG diet and you should avoid those.

This smoothie recipe uses grapefruit and other HCG diet approved ingredients. Grapefruit is particularly helpful for weight loss because it burns calories and it is one of the best fat burning fruits that you can eat. Grapefruit is high in fiber and has a high water content, both of which help to contribute to its fat loss ability. One serving of grapefruit has just 53 calories so it's very low in calories and you won't have to feel very guilty if you increase your servings. Try this recipe as a quick snack or for a small meal, and you can even feel free to add other HCG diet fruits into it like oranges or strawberries.
