CJC-1295, also known as DAC:GRF (short for drug affinity complex:growth hormone-releasing factor), is a peptide hormone that acts similar to growth hormone releasing hormones, also known as GHRH. CJC-1295 was invented by a Canadian company called Conjuchem. Conjuchem is a medical biotechnology company located in Montreal, Canada, who's focus is in compounds and research and development.
CJC-1295 is beneficial to people with athletic goals because it can bio-conjugate with albumin and increase the time it can be used for medical purposes by preventing the degradation of it's amino acids. With a single dose, it can remain in the body for a few days, and reduces the amount of injections needed. Albumins are a family of globular proteins, the most common being the serum albumins. Albumins are commonly found in blood plasma, and differ from other proteins in that they are not glycosylated, which refers the to enzymatic process that attaches glycans to proteins, lipids, or other organic molecules.
CJC-1295 also increases the production of growth hormone as well as IGF-1, which stands for insulin like growth factor, and has anabolic effect in adults. It also manages to avoid increases the levels of prolactin, which is also known as luteotropic hormone, and is a protein that's known best for it's roll in enabling mammals to produce milk, and when too much prolactin is in the system of a male, it can cause impotence and even lead to mental health problems. By increasing the amount of IGF-1 and growth hormone in the human body, it increases the protein production, which will, in turn, boost muscle mass. It also triggers lipolysis, which is the breakdown of fatty tissue, boosts recovery from injuries, increases bone density, and also reduces aging factors like wrinkly skin. CJC-1295 is also known by other names, such as Modified GRF 1-29, CJC-1295 without DAC, and Mod GRF 1-29. It's also been known by it's chemical name, terasubstitued GRF (1-29). All of these names can make it hard for the normal consumer to even begin to research this compound.
The original GRF (1-29) has a half-life of about thirty minutes, a half life being the time within which half of the administered hormone will be destroyed within the body. These was due to the fact that the compound wasn't very stable, and broke down too soon. To increase the stability and to make it last for a longer time, it was enhanced by adding four amino acids into it's structure. This gave it the new name of Modified, or Mod GRF 1-29. It was original invented by DatBtrue, a popular figure within the peptide community. The portion of the molecule that actually stimulates the growth hormone secretion is found within the chain of twenty nine amino acids, so it's named for GRF 1-29. Both the original GRF, and the MOD GRF required many frequent dosages. So when a new compound called CJC-1295 was created, it was made to be far more stable. The compound was created by introducing Lysine,which is a basic amino acid that is used in the biosynthesis of proteins, and is also known as DAC. Because of the original's lack of lysine, it's named now as CJC-1295 Without DAC. The DAC in CJC-1295, DAC being Lysine(as mentioned above), allows the compound to create covalent bonds with any nearby albumin, after has entered the body through a subcutaneous injection. The reason that the half-life of the peptide is extended from instead a few minutes to several days is a bit more complicated. The reactive element in the CJC-1295 binds to a peptide through bioconjugation, which is the chemical strategy to form a stable covalent link between two molecules, with one of them being a biomolecule(which is a molecule that is present in living organisms, and not one lab made). The peptide can after find a neucleophilic(a chemical species that donates an electron pair to an electrophile) unit within the blood and reacts with it to create a much stronger bond.
When dealing with any Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH), always be sure to remember that positive results aren't instantaneous. These compounds are made to have long half-lives to act steadily over a period of time, and the best (and safest) results can be achieved slowly, and with a proper nutritious diet and a correct exercise regime that balances both cardiovascular and muscular health. Mod GRF 1-29 and CJC-1295 are still under research, and as such they are not entirely rock-solid in their exact utilization. Despite this, some solid protocols for the administration and usage of these peptides have been developed, though the dosage is not yet medically confirmed. In one study, conducted by researches on twenty one to sixty one year old subjects, it has been found that depending on the dose, the concentrations of the human growth hormone was increased by up to ten times for at least six days, and the concentration of IGF-1 was increased by up to three times for nine to eleven days.
CJC-1295, and Mod GRF 1-29, are administered in micrograms, rather than milligrams. It has also been found that a one hundred microgram dose is enough to fully saturate the anterior pituitary's receptors. When this is achieved, it is called the saturation dose, and after a dose of 100mcg, the dosages after will achieve half of that effect. If one hundred micrograms more were to be adminstered after the first one hundred micrograms, making it an effective dose of two hundred micrograms, then a second dose will only achieve fifty percent of what the first dose already has. A one hundred micrograms more, will then only achieve twenty five percent more of the initial dose, and this implies that, in order to increase the effect of the compound, only a little more of it can be administered with success after the saturation dose.
But, after the administration, Mod GRF 1-29 starts to break down too much. This happens because peptides have an affinity for bonding with amino acids. The administered peptide then has to travel a very long distance between the point of administration, or injection, and the pituitary gland. On the way, the enzymes begin to act on it, making it break down and bond with amino acids. The peptides that are created within the body naturally don't have this problem because they do not have to travel such a distance.
CJC-1295 is mostly sold as lyophilized powder in two milligram containers. Bacteriostatic water should be then mixed with the powder in order to reactive it. To make the dosage of one hundred micrograms per injection, 2ml bacteriostatic water should be mixed into 2mg of the powder. This reconstituted mixture then should be injected inside of the muscle or under the skin, and stored in refrigeration at all times otherwise it will quickly deteriorate and be of use to no one. Multiple dosages throughout a single day should be separated by gaps of at least three hours, and these peptides should be administered on an empty stomach or only when foods containing protein have been consumed, as carbs or fat present in the stomach will inhibit the release of growth hormone. You should eat at least fifteen minutes and at most thirty minutes after the administration of the peptide, because by this time the release of human growth hormone will be at it's highest, and lessening the effect of anything you eat.
Since CJC-1295 is a simple peptide, it has hardly any side effects. People who use very high doses of this peptide can experience mild side effects including long, clearly remembered dreams, numbness in the hands and fingers, and dull aches in the joints, as well as weakness and lightheadedness if on a low carb diet.
Another side effect known to happen with CJC-1295 is acromegaly, due to the increase of the levels of human growth hormone. Acromegaly is a condition in which extra human growth hormone is released even after the internal organs and skeleton have finished growing, which causes thickening of the skin, deepening of the voice, enlargement of the jaws, and slurring of the speech. Another effect of acromegaly is the swelling of soft tissue in the internal organs.
