Now that you have completed Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the HCG diet, you may be wondering what to eat on Phase 3 of the HCG diet. This phase is referred to as the "stabilizing phase," which means you will need to maintain your new weight within a two-pound limit from when you begin Phase 3, or within two pounds from what you weighed at your last intake of the HCG hormone. You will also need to weigh yourself every morning before eating, but after emptying your bladder. Just like in Phase 2 of the HCG diet, proteins will be an essential part of what you eat.
You can get your protein from most fish, red meats or poultry. Other important food groups in Phase 3 are vegetables and fruits. Most "salad" vegetables are low in carbs. You may now choose any fruit, but be careful of eating too much fruit and fruits higher in natural sugar such as grapes and bananas. Stay away from foods that contain sugars carbs and starch white foods such as bread, pasta, or cereal while in this phase. You may, however, add some fats into the diet. For example, olive oil, eggs, almonds, avocados,etc. These can be added slowly and in moderation usually with no problems as long as sugars and starches are avoided. Another thing to remember is that you should begin Phase 3 of the HCG diet 72 hours after your last intake of HCG.
