Is the hCG Hormone Safe for Men?

Is the hCG Hormone Safe for Men?

Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone created by the placenta during pregnancy. The hormone encourages the woman’s body to use its fat reserves to nourish the fetus in utero to keep an acceptable birth weight. It also supplies the energy that the woman will need to make it through the pregnancy and birth. Since hCG is a female hormone, many men are concerned with the possible side effects in males who opt to undergo Dr. Simeons dietary protocol.

Safety of the hCG Hormone

The hCG hormone is perfectly safe for men or women when used as a dietary supplement. At Nu Image Medical each person is individually screened for the diet and the use of the hormone. Men and women undergo the same process and dietary steps when embarking on the regime.

Dosage of the hCG Hormone

The dose of hCG used in both men and women is extremely low. Typically, only 150 to 200 IU. Such a dosage has been proven safe and highly effective for weight loss in men.

Testosterone Increase in Men

HCG typically increases testosterone production in men.

Here are a few ways that hCG affects a man’s hormones:

  • Fertility Treatment: The human chorionic gonadotropin has become a standard fertility treatment to boost the male testosterone levels and increase sperm count.
  • Libido: A male’s libido takes an upward swing when using hCG.
  • Muscle Production and Energy: Bodybuilders turn to hCG to raise testosterone levels to increase muscle production and to boost energy.
  • Anti-Aging: Research is underway to explore the possible anti-aging properties of hCG.

Hormonal Balance

The natural testosterone increases experienced by using hCG positively affects mood and increases energy. Obesity has a dramatic impact on a man’s hormonal balance. The added weight increases estrogen levels in the male and lowers the production of testosterone. The decreased testosterone contributes to weight gain and muscle loss. When a man ingests hCG, it helps to reset his hormonal levels, so he can more effectively lose weight and rebuild muscle. Any man who believes that they have a hormone imbalance should undergo a blood test to determine their body’s hormonal levels. Avoiding processed foods and carbohydrates also help the male body support and balance hormone levels.

Risk of hCG Use

Researchers have not determined if there is any risk in using hCG for an extended period, but it still is safe for short-term use such as for two months or less. Long-term use is typically not recommended. However, this protocol of short-term use is typical and adhered to during testosterone, estrogen, and human growth hormone treatments.

Weight Loss in Men and Women

Men and women both experience the same level of weight loss when using hCG in conjunction with the low caloric intake required by the dietary protocol. Men and women will usually experience seven pounds per week when following Dr. Simeons diet. The hormone pushes the body to metabolize fat at a rate of up to 2,000 to 2,500 calories per day. The body uses the calories for energy.

Pharmaceutical hCG

One critical factor that should always be taken into consideration is the quality of the hCG. Licensed medical professionals at Nu Image Medical, prescribe only pharmaceutical hCG hormones.

Side Effects During Phase Two

During the first week of the hCG diet, you may experience a few side effects, but these are not caused by the hCG hormone, but are a result of your body acclimatizing to a fat burning metabolic state. The side effects normally go away after a few days when your body starts to adjust to the changes. If the side effects last longer then you should consult with the medical experts at Nu Image Medical.

Here are a few common side effects:

  • Fatigue
  • Dizziness
  • Headaches
  • Cramps
  • Nausea
  • Cold-like symptoms

Phase Two Energy Increase

During the first week of the diet, you may have a boost in your energy level and your mental clarity. The energy boost is a result of the detoxification process that your body undergoes. Your body also starts to reap the benefits of a more natural diet. The body’s fat metabolism increases, and this increase will continue into Phase 3 of the menu.
