Nu Image Medical no longer offers the HCG Weight Loss Program. GOOD NEWS! We have developed something better and easier: WAYT-less!
The revolutionary hCG diet has been changing lives for over 50 years. The unique diet protocol was first introduced to the world in 1954 by leading endocrinologist Dr. Albert Simeons in his best-selling book, ‘Pounds and Inches.’ In recent years, specific tweaks have been made to the diet, but the underlying premise of Dr. Simeons hCG protocol remains the same. The diet plan is a viable and successful weight loss system that not only helps your body shed unwanted pounds but keep it off by resetting your metabolism so you can maintain your weight loss through the use of sensible calories and exercise.
The hCG Diet is Not FDA Approved?
Throughout the many decades, there have been opponents of the hCG diet who like to cite the fact that the regime is not recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as an approved method for weight loss. The simple fact is that the FDA is notorious for being behind on many health-related issues. An example of this is the use of aspirin to treat heart-related problems. Many cardiologists and physicians had suggested that cardiac patients take an aspirin-a-day long before the notion was ever acknowledged or approved by the FDA. Many medications are currently being used for off-label purposes. Eventually, the FDA will get around to looking over the research for such methods, but the federal government agency is notoriously slow.
Is the hCG Diet a Fad?
Opponents of the hCG diet often like to label it a ‘fad’ plan. However, to be called a ‘fad’ something must only be famous for a short period of time. The hCG diet has stood the test of the passing years. After it was initially introduced in the 1950s, supporters of the hCG diet protocol have only increased. Now there are hundreds of clinics in the United States that actively use hCG to encourage weight loss. It is also becoming a very common dietary aid throughout Europe and in other parts of the world.
Will you Gain Weight Back After the hCG Diet?
Another bogus claim that is often proclaimed about the hCG diet is that once you lose the weight, you will put it right back on when you cease dieting. Undeniably, such a claim can be used about every diet plan ever invented. Maintaining your reduced weight takes dedication. If you start to immediately consume thousands of calories per day, then you are going to gain unwanted pounds. Yes, you can gain weight back after you complete the hCG diet if you do not alter your lifestyle by focusing on calorie control and exercise.
Are Very Low-Calorie Diets Safe?
Claims have been made that the hCG diet and other very low-calorie diets (VLCD), could be dangerous. Research is still underway to determine if this is true or not. Many studies have shown that the benefits of dropping unwanted pounds using the hCG diet protocol far exceed the potential hazards. Being overweight or obese puts you at risk for many conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and stroke so losing unwanted pounds actually improves your long-term health. People with high cholesterol or who require insulin or diabetes control are healthier after achieving weight loss on the hCG diet.
In light of the groundbreaking research on hCG, and the countless success stories that show that the dietary plan honestly works, many doubts can be safely put to rest. Before embarking on the hCG diet, you should first analyze if the program fits your unique needs. It is also suggested that you consult with your physician before starting any new diet or making dramatic lifestyle changes.
