The HCG Diet Recipe - AVOCADO POPSICLES
These creamy treats are a great way to add healthy calories to your load days on HCG!
Avocados and dark chocolate are super foods that are packed with powerful antioxidants!
3 ripe avocados (medium sized)
1 1/2 cup of milk, or milk alternative of choice (soy, almond, etc.)
4 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
simple syrup or agave syrup, as needed
optional- Dipping Chocolate- 4 oz of good quality dark chocolate chopped & melted
wooden or plastic popsicle sticks
In a blender or food processor, puree avocado, milk, and sweetened condensed milk.
* Pureed mixture will be quite thick. If you would like it to be thinner, add more liquid.
Taste mixture. If not sweet enough to your liking, add simple syrup or agave to taste.
Pour mixture into popsicle molds until almost full. Place a layer of foil over the popsicle mold, followed by the popsicle mold cover. Insert wooden sticks into the mold and then remove the popsicle mold cover, leaving only the foil.
Place filled molds in the freezer for at least 3 hours or until popsicles are solid.
If you want to add a bit more sweetness to your treat, try adding some dark chocolate"¦.
Dipping Chocolate Instructions:
Over a double boiler, (or in the microwave at 30 second intervals) melt chopped chocolate until smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate because it can burn really easily.
Dip frozen avocado popsicles in melted chocolate, and if you're feeling creative, you can also drizzle melted chocolate over popsicles.
