Drinking Enough Water

Per the new HCG Diet Simplifed 2013 document, I find several guidelines in reference to drinking water. I found several statements stating to drink at least 1/2 gallon per day. I found one statement that states to drink over 100 ounces a day. I have been averaging 80 ounces per day, but I have stalled at the same weight for 3 days now. (reference my posted topic Plateau for 3 Days) I am really struggling to drink more than 80 ozs a day. Is this a problem?

My Journey to 50 and Slimmer

I'm still learning all the acronyms, but I am beginning my journey today. I am 49 and will be 50 on November 27. And I can honestly say that turning 50 has been so different from turning 40. Peri and menopause have hit me hard in the last year. My goal is to look and feel better by the end of the year and continue my journey into next year being able to work out and cycle and go horseback riding without the weight and pain in my joints. I am 218.2 this morning and my waist (I'm mortified to say) is 40.5 inches. My BMI is 44.9%. I am doing the 46 day plan, with MIC/B12 and supplements. My goals are to be 150/155 and my BMI to be around 22-23%. I know there will be challenges but I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. Catt in New York SmileWink

looking at the suggested shopping list & menu----I don\'t see green beans listed----Is this not allowed. I\'m sure I used green beans before on this plan(steamed--no salt)

Seasoning

I know we already have an approved list, but is adding Cayenne pepper to season foods going to be detrimental to the diet??

After Round 1 - Pause before Round 2

I have today that I consider time off the VLC much tougher than time on it.... Already I have eaten some sugary items in celebration, and I am up a half pound and feeling the night ime poor circulation in my hands that happens when I eat sugar. So today is day one of mindful eating. A key ingredient to doing this successfully is re-reading the new guide fom Nu Image Medical. I am heading off to do that now, and I will share what I am learning. Breakfast today is an egg and egg white scramble... I know that oatmeal, my favorite, is highly discouraged. Lunch is a ground beef burger and green beans cooked in low sodium chicken broth. I have tentative dinner plans for Korean food... Just some meat and veggies, for me. If the dinner out falls thru it will be baked salmon at home with steamed cabbage and maybe some sliced tomatoe. Gotta stay on the water too! Stay tuned....

From Day 1 to Day 43 of my HCG first round

Have noticed that a few others were keeping theirselves accountable by putting their HCG Journeys here so decided I would do that same. This one will be a bit longer then the others because I am playing catch up. Will start with my stats. I am 5'4" and started my weight loss journey at 209. I did a few short diets and got down to 193. Has been a lot of yoyo dieting. So I ordered the Pellets and decided to give HCG a try after doing a lot of research on it. I started with the pellets on August 12th. Day 1 and 2 were my loading days and I gained 1.6 lbs. So my first vlcd I had the following: Breakfast (1/2 grapefruit with stevia and some coffee) Lunch (3.5 oz 96% lean hamburger, handful of strawberries and a cup of tomatoes) Dinner (3.5 oz shrimp and a cup of cucumbers. also had to take Excedrin for a headache. vlcd 2 weighed and was down to 190.2, down 4.4 lbs which includes the 1.6 I gained from loading. Breakfast (1/2 grapefruit w/stevia and coffee) mid morning I had a orange slushy from the recipes, Lunch (3.5 chicken, 1 cup broccoli, 1 melba toast) Dinner (3.5 oz top round steak, 1 cup tomatoes) vlcd 3 weight was 188 lbs so lost another 2.2 lbs for a total of 6.6 Breakfast (1/2 grapefruit w/stevia coffee) lunch (3.5 oz 96% lean hamburger which I mixed with 1 cup diced tomatoes abd chili powder and some other spices) snack (apple w/cinnamon and stevia) Dinner (3.5 oz tilapia w/ bay seasoning, I cup cooked cabbage which I cooked with a little chicken broth and sale and pepper, 1 melba toast, again also took Excedrin for my headache vlcd 4 weight was 186.4 so lost 1.6 for a total of 8.2 Breakfast (1/2 grapefruit w/stevia and rooibos tea) lunch (1 cup lettuce 3.5 oz 96% lean hamburger mixed with salt and pepper and onion powder, for lettuce wraps) Snack (apple w/cinnamon and stevia) Dinner (3.5 oz chicken, I cup of cooked cabbage, had a tiny bit of mustard with the chicken vlcd 5 weight was 185.4 so lost 1 lb for a total of 9.2 Breakfast (1/2 grapefruit w/stevia and water) Lunch ( tilapia w/bay seasoning, 1 cup cooked cabbage) snack (apple w/cinnamon and stevia) So that catches me up, I have been having between 2 and 2 1/2 liters of water everyday. I did use a very very small amount of sugar free ketchup on my fish. So 9.2 lbs in 5 days of vlcd, I am pretty happy with that. Now as for how I have felt. Have had headaches and still am a bit, pretty tired. even had a little upset stomach, not sure where that is coming from. But over all has went fine, and I am hoping that once I have gotten thru the first week things will calm down some and the headaches will ease off. I have tried drinking some tea and some coffee. the biggest problem I have with the coffee is I hate black coffee and the stevia doesn't sweeten enough and when I add too much it has this yucky aftertaste so still trying to figure that one out. Anyway will try and post here daily to keep myself accountable and I also know reading some others journeys has really motivated me so if this help anyone at all I will be very happy. Posting my 43 day journey as it happens with Drops

I just received my HCG last week and began my loading days on Sat July 13. July 15, Monday, was Day 1 on the Very Low Cal diet. Starting weight after the 2 loading days was 227. Constant Comment Green Tea for breakfast, mid morning apple, Lunch: ground chicken breast burger and cucumber salad (cut up in apple cider vinegar with equal amount of water, sweetened with stevia), Dinner: steak and cabbage. Cabbage cut up and cooked in chicken broth (low sodium non fat). evening snack: Orange. Water and Sobe Lifewater throughout the day. July 16, Tuesday weigh in at 223..... !!!! I got off the scale and got back on again to check the number.... down 4 lbs! Amazing!! Constant Comment Green Tea for breakfast, Lunch: steak and cabbage (leftover from last nite) and breadstick. Afternoon snack: Apple, Dinner: rotisserie chicken measured without skin, green salad (with the same dressing I used for cuke salad yesterday, only this time made with balsamic vinegar). Evening snack will be an orange. One of the best things about this program is getting out of bed, going to the bathroom, and then getting on the scale to see if the needle has moved downward..... since it usually will on HCG, what could be a bette way to start the day?

Plateau for 3 days

I am doing HCG Injections mixed with MIC. I am on Day 17. Today will be my 3rd day at the same weight. Day 15, 519.75 calories, 142 lbs Day 16, 525.15 calories, 142 lbs Day 17, 506.85 calories, 142 lbs I tried to think back over the last 3 days on other things I may have inadvertently done to cause me to stall out. On Day 15 and 16 I remembered I used some WD40 on both of those days. I did get it on my hands, I did not think in advance about using gloves. Cry Could this be the reason for the plateau? How long should I wait before doing a steak day? Odd though, I FEEL thinner in my belly! Wink Even though I weigh the same!

HCG Diet Questions

I will be starting the HCG Diet on Wednesday as today and tomorrow is my loading days. So I wanted to ask a few questions. Can any kind of coffee or tea be used? even flavored coffees or does it have to be plain? I have chamomile and rooibos tea currently. Is that ok? Can vegetable, beef or chicken broth be used to flavor or cook the protein in if it is fatfree with no added sugars? Thank you in advance for any help. I just want to make sure I am doing everything exactly as I am suppose to.
