Posting my 43 day journey as it happens with Drops

I just received my HCG last week and began my loading days on Sat July 13. July 15, Monday, was Day 1 on the Very Low Cal diet. Starting weight after the 2 loading days was 227. Constant Comment Green Tea for breakfast, mid morning apple, Lunch: ground chicken breast burger and cucumber salad (cut up in apple cider vinegar with equal amount of water, sweetened with stevia), Dinner: steak and cabbage. Cabbage cut up and cooked in chicken broth (low sodium non fat). evening snack: Orange. Water and Sobe Lifewater throughout the day. July 16, Tuesday weigh in at 223..... !!!! I got off the scale and got back on again to check the number.... down 4 lbs! Amazing!! Constant Comment Green Tea for breakfast, Lunch: steak and cabbage (leftover from last nite) and breadstick. Afternoon snack: Apple, Dinner: rotisserie chicken measured without skin, green salad (with the same dressing I used for cuke salad yesterday, only this time made with balsamic vinegar). Evening snack will be an orange. One of the best things about this program is getting out of bed, going to the bathroom, and then getting on the scale to see if the needle has moved downward..... since it usually will on HCG, what could be a bette way to start the day?

I am having a problem signing onto the forum today so I am posting as a guest, but it's really me, oneuh2. Wed July 17: This morning I weighed in at 220 -- that's a loss of 7 lbs since I began the VLC eating program on Monday... that's 7 lbs in 2 days!!! Much better than the great results I thought I was getting the first week that I tried homeopathic version of HCG back in January. I am psych'd!!! Had a Sobe Lifewater this morning after weigh-in and then the real HCG drops. Off to work with my 16 oz commuter mug of Constant Comment green tea -- I was kind of hungry around 11AM, but I had work to do and did not snack. I had a ground chicken breast burger and green salad for lunch -- used my apple cider/water/stevia dressing. Dinner: steak, green salad with the balsamic vinegar version of my dressing, and a grissini breadstick. I've had a 16 oz regular water, two 20 oz Lifewaters so far today, and I will finish off a 3rd one before I go to sleep. When I came home from work I made myself an iced Constant Comment Green tea, too. I hope others are finding my journey of interest. I think you will notice that I get into a routine with the foods I eat - I try to keep some variety happening, but chicken burgers or lean hamburgers are my go-to for lunch and on they day I make them, probably for dinner. Salad, cukes and cabbage, and pretty soon fresh tomatoes are the most likely veggie choices. So far, I think I am off to a good start. Let's see if I get into the two hundred teens on the scale tomorrow...;-)

Okay - today was my weigh in after 3 days on VLC food plan. Today I held at 220 lbs -- have to hope for getting out of the two twenties tomorrow. BUT I am still psych'd to have lost 7 lbs so quickly. After weigh in this morning I took my drops, made my Constant Comment Green Tea, got in the shower (holding the drops under my tongue well into my shower, by the way), and drank a Sobe Lifewater as I got ready for work. I did not snack during the morning hours, but I was really ready for lunch at noon. Lunch was my ground chicken breast burger and cucumber salad (homegrown cukes with my homemade vinegar dressing). Awhile after lunch I cored my apple and cut it into slices which I snacked on at my desk in the afternoon. I finished off another Sobe Lifewater (these are 0 cal of course, and don't have splenda or aspartame) this afternoon. Now I am about to have dinner -- rotisserie chicken and sliced tomatoe from the garden. and a grissini. First tomatoe I have cut open this year. I am having an orange for my 2nd fruit of the day. That reminds me - yesterday I forgot to report my fruits -- I had a apple at lunch and grapefruit with stevia after dinner. So far so good - I have to say that I am not especially hungry. I am feeling pretty good about using the real HCG.

Sorry to be so late in the day posting -- Friday, July 19 -- I am into the two hundred teens -- 219 - that's 8 lbs since I began the VLC food plan on Monday. Excellent! Today I worked from home and managed to stay away from the refrigerator. I had chicken burger, green salad with my balsamic vinegar dressing and an apple for lunch. Drank a Sobe Lifewater through the morning, and another this afternoon. Dinner was steak and salad with the balsamic again, a grissini and half a grapefruit with stevia. I think I should have had more water and some green tea today, but I lost focus on that. I did do some crunches and some pilates 'reach for the stars' and some clam shells. i know that exercise is not part of the program, but working my core a little bit seems like a wise idea. This last period of weight gain for me has been all in my belly area. i really would like to trim that down. It would be nice to bend over to tie my shoes and not feel like I cannot breathe. I also managed to go in and out of the grocery today without being tempted by yummy looking things in the store. Ii saw a big display of white peaches that smelled heavenly... I hope they will still be available in 5 weeks. This reminds me -- my husband is an avid gardener and I will have plenty of tomatoes and cukes for my program. We also have lots of Blue Lake green beans just getting ripe. Will I kill my program if I have green beans? What makes them so different from asparagus or cabbage? Nu Image, can you fill us in?

Still waiting for an answer about green beans.... Meanwhile - it's Saturday July 20 and I am down another half pound. That's 8.5 lbs in 5 days. This is good! Today's menu was tea first thing this morning and a Sobe Lifewaterduring the morning hours. and then shrimp and green salad with vinegar dressing for lunch. I had my fruit mid-afternoon - an orange. The dinner this evening was rotisserie chicken and tomatoes from the garden. I did some more crunches and pilates today -- and,. since it's Saturday and I am home all day from work, I also some cooking for my family. That's a bit tough, but I hung in pretty well with the program, with only a tiny taste of some chicken salad I made, and I snuck a couple of green beans, checking to see if they were done and seasoned ok. Hopefully these transgressions will not be problematic. I really believe that following the food plan as closely as possible is critical, so I don't want to make a habit of this. I also tried something new for me today - I had frozen some strawberries I had picked from the garden in May - I put them in the food processor with some stevia and made what I would probably call a granita. It was very good -- it turned my fruit into a great dessert for this evening. Once again, so far so good -- 36 days to go!

Continuing to see the needle on the scale move down!!!! Sunday, July 21 - down another pound - that's a total of 9 lbs after 6 days on the VLC food plan! I am really happy with such immediate results. I can already feel a little less huge through my midsection, and that feels great. Today's food: after the usual wake up, weigh in and take my drops, i had a Sobe Lifewater and some Constant Comment Green tea (I love the flavor of this tea, and find it's good over ice too). Lunch today was a grissini breadstic, cucumbers and vinegar dressing with shrimp . (I buy the cooked frozen shrimp, measure them out to 100 gram portions and keep them in the freezer ready to use). I had an orange during the middle of the afternoon. Dinner tonight was steak and spinach, and fresh frozen strawberries that I ran thru the food processer with stevia. You might think that I don't have much variety in my meal selections -- I try to mix it up a bit, but keep it very simple to make prep for my own meals easy. I work full time and have a husband who needs to gain weight, so there's other cooking to do. I really hope that Nu Image will tell me about green beans -- I have so many fresh from the garden, and it seems like they might be an ok veggie substitute. Tomorrow's weigh in will be 7 days on the very low cal diet -- I am looking forward to the weigh in, even tho it's Monday morning, the weekend is over, and I have to return to work. Let's see whether I make the big 10 tomorrow!!

Helloooo! Sorry for the delay. Green beens are not officially allowed on the HCG Diet program. The approved fruits and vegetables as designated by Dr. Simeons himself are available in our ebook. There are no allowed variations from the foods allowed. While many websites and offices try to make it easier and more acceptable to people by using their own, revised HCG protocols, at Nu Image Medical, we strictly follow the original Simeons version. Sorry for the bad news :(

Oh boy - I missed posting yesterday!!! But I had an excellent day -- today you get 2 days worth of what I have been up to on my very successful first week on HCG drops. Monday, July 22 -- I have lost 10 lbs in 7 days! It is terrific to be down to 217 - and it's such a great motivator to make me want to continue to do what I am supposed to do. My food for the day included 2 Sobe Lifewaters and a regular 20 oz water. Lunch was a chicken burger and cucumber salad, with a grissini and an apple that I saved to mid afternoon for a snack. Dinner was steak and beautiful sliced tomatoes, including an orange variety of tomatoe. My fruit became my desser as I put frozen strawberries into the food processor with stevia again - I like eating the strawberries this way because it involves a spoon and I can make them last a long time. Tuesday, July 23 -- A half pound today brings me down to 216.5 lbs. Another day in the right direction - who can complain. Food for today -- Green Constant Comment Tea this morning - I forgot to take my Sobe Lifewater with me to work, so I had 2 11 oz regular waters, another large cup of green tea, and a tall iced green tea since I got home from work. I really feel I need to be drinking more water -- I hope to get myself to focus on that and turn it into a habit. Lunch was shrimp and green salad with vinegar dressing, a grissini and an apple. Dinner tonite was rotisserie chicken and green salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. I will have my grissini and fruit -- I think an orange, in a few minutes. Very sorry to hear about the green beans... and although I will never understand what makes Dr. Simeon 's selection of veggies and fruits so special, I am willing to follow the protocol. I need to figure out a good way to freeze the green beans so I can enjoy them during maintenance. Meanwhile, this whole program is going vey well for me - I am thrilled with my results so far, and happy to share them!

So sorry - once again I have 2 days to report. All good news, too! Wednesday, July 24 - down another half lb to 216 Thursday, July 25 - this morning I weighed in at 215 - that's a total of 12 lbs in just 10 days!!! I can tell that much of the loss has been in my midsection -- a little less mass in that area feels great. I have been eating much the same foods as I have reported in my first week. I have not had much time to play around with recipes, although some of them really look good. I think trying to mix it up is important and I think I could do better at that. I have to confess to some cheats that happened in the past c ouple days, too -- I had coffee this morning instead of my green tea - the cheat was adding 2 of those little cups of half and half to it. I had a one-inch cube of watermelon yesterday -- just a taste of summer. But these cheats are not good - I know that staying true to the protocol is critical. So tomorrow is a fresh day and I will make that a priority along with plenty of water!!
