My Journey to 50 and Slimmer

I'm still learning all the acronyms, but I am beginning my journey today. I am 49 and will be 50 on November 27. And I can honestly say that turning 50 has been so different from turning 40. Peri and menopause have hit me hard in the last year. My goal is to look and feel better by the end of the year and continue my journey into next year being able to work out and cycle and go horseback riding without the weight and pain in my joints. I am 218.2 this morning and my waist (I'm mortified to say) is 40.5 inches. My BMI is 44.9%. I am doing the 46 day plan, with MIC/B12 and supplements. My goals are to be 150/155 and my BMI to be around 22-23%. I know there will be challenges but I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. Catt in New York SmileWink

You can do this! Just stay on protocol after the 3-day load... and always remember what your goals are!

Thank you! Things are going very well. I was 221.8 after my third load day. And this morning, Phase 2, Day 4, I'm down to 213.8. Been exactly on protocol. Drinking lots of water. Taking the supplements and doing the shots in the a.m. Other than having a headache the second day, everything has been good. Walking 20 min every other day. Working and going to school online. No energy issues so far. SmileCoolSmile

Sunday - six days into Phase 2: 211.2 this morning. Down 10.6. Have not deviated from protocol except for two glasses of seltzer with lime at a party. Got tired of everyone offering me something to drink, so it was the only thing I could do on the spur. Saturday was the first time being home all day that I was tempted with hubby's leftover halloween candy, but I was good. I put everything in the freezer so I didn't have to look at it. Actually proud of myself for that. Still drinking a ton of water, doing the supplements, shots first thing in the a.m. Haven't noticed much change in clothes yet, but I think that's because I just refused to go up another size so they've been very tight. Hopefully by next week, I will start to see a difference. Start 218.2, end of load 221.8 218.8, 216.6, 213.8, 213.6, 212.2, 211.2 - so one day, even though I was on protocol, I only lost .2, and then it was right back down. I am 24 days to my birthday. The big decision is going to be, do I stay on protocol and shots or do I go off for three days, enjoy my birthday and Thanksgiving, and then get back on the horse. The thought of the break actually scares me a little bit but I know hubby wants to take me out for my birthday. But I can make that decision in a few weeks. Catt LaughLaughLaugh
