From Day 1 to Day 43 of my HCG first round

Have noticed that a few others were keeping theirselves accountable by putting their HCG Journeys here so decided I would do that same. This one will be a bit longer then the others because I am playing catch up. Will start with my stats. I am 5'4" and started my weight loss journey at 209. I did a few short diets and got down to 193. Has been a lot of yoyo dieting. So I ordered the Pellets and decided to give HCG a try after doing a lot of research on it. I started with the pellets on August 12th. Day 1 and 2 were my loading days and I gained 1.6 lbs. So my first vlcd I had the following: Breakfast (1/2 grapefruit with stevia and some coffee) Lunch (3.5 oz 96% lean hamburger, handful of strawberries and a cup of tomatoes) Dinner (3.5 oz shrimp and a cup of cucumbers. also had to take Excedrin for a headache. vlcd 2 weighed and was down to 190.2, down 4.4 lbs which includes the 1.6 I gained from loading. Breakfast (1/2 grapefruit w/stevia and coffee) mid morning I had a orange slushy from the recipes, Lunch (3.5 chicken, 1 cup broccoli, 1 melba toast) Dinner (3.5 oz top round steak, 1 cup tomatoes) vlcd 3 weight was 188 lbs so lost another 2.2 lbs for a total of 6.6 Breakfast (1/2 grapefruit w/stevia coffee) lunch (3.5 oz 96% lean hamburger which I mixed with 1 cup diced tomatoes abd chili powder and some other spices) snack (apple w/cinnamon and stevia) Dinner (3.5 oz tilapia w/ bay seasoning, I cup cooked cabbage which I cooked with a little chicken broth and sale and pepper, 1 melba toast, again also took Excedrin for my headache vlcd 4 weight was 186.4 so lost 1.6 for a total of 8.2 Breakfast (1/2 grapefruit w/stevia and rooibos tea) lunch (1 cup lettuce 3.5 oz 96% lean hamburger mixed with salt and pepper and onion powder, for lettuce wraps) Snack (apple w/cinnamon and stevia) Dinner (3.5 oz chicken, I cup of cooked cabbage, had a tiny bit of mustard with the chicken vlcd 5 weight was 185.4 so lost 1 lb for a total of 9.2 Breakfast (1/2 grapefruit w/stevia and water) Lunch ( tilapia w/bay seasoning, 1 cup cooked cabbage) snack (apple w/cinnamon and stevia) So that catches me up, I have been having between 2 and 2 1/2 liters of water everyday. I did use a very very small amount of sugar free ketchup on my fish. So 9.2 lbs in 5 days of vlcd, I am pretty happy with that. Now as for how I have felt. Have had headaches and still am a bit, pretty tired. even had a little upset stomach, not sure where that is coming from. But over all has went fine, and I am hoping that once I have gotten thru the first week things will calm down some and the headaches will ease off. I have tried drinking some tea and some coffee. the biggest problem I have with the coffee is I hate black coffee and the stevia doesn't sweeten enough and when I add too much it has this yucky aftertaste so still trying to figure that one out. Anyway will try and post here daily to keep myself accountable and I also know reading some others journeys has really motivated me so if this help anyone at all I will be very happy. Have a awesome day everyone

Hope everyone is having a good day and evening. My weight this morning was down .4, I wasnt thrilled but at least it went down. so that takes me to 185 even and a total of 9.6 Is day 6 of vlcd Breakfast ( 1/2 grapefruit and coffee w/stevia) not loving the stevia yet. to me it has a bitter taste and it takes a lot to get the coffee to sweeten at all) Lunch (3.5 ozs 96% lean ground beef mixed with a cup of diced tomatoes and chili powder and some other spices and 1 melba toast) Snack ( 1 orange) Dinner ( 3.5 ozs chicken and I cup cucumbers) I tried to up my water some today. Had 3 1/2 liters where I normally only have 2 liters anyone know of another sweetner that doesn't effect your weight loss that gives a better flavor? if you do I would sure love to know.

I am so glad you are posting your journey! It sounds like your first 10 lbs are right on track! I will follow your journey with great interest, Cammy. Before HCG I was religious about my coffee with cream and sweetener in the morning. Then I saw that green tea was a good choice of beverage for the protocol, but.... Yuck. Then I found Constant Comment Green Tea... I tried it with Stevia in the Raw and liked it as much as I like the regular Constant Comment tea. I also found Earl Gray Green Tea. These are both teas from the Bigelow company usually in the grocery/supermarket. They have only 50 percent of the caffeine in regular black tea, so that could be a good feature too. Anyway, maybe a switch from coffee will taste better with the sweetener. the tea is a lighter flavor than coffee, so with a little stevia it does taste a bit sweeter. I don't pick up the aftertaste with stevia, myself. Looking forward to your postings...

Please tell me about the pellets -- how long does it take for them to dissolve... do they have kind of a minty taste, like the drops? I am watching your results so I can decide whether to go for the pellets in lieu of the drops for my next round.

I didn't sign on yesterday so need to catch up a bit. My weight yesterday was 184.6 so another .4 loss bringing my total to 10 even ..so yesterday I woke up late, so took my pellet and then had to go run some errands so no grapefruit as normal and I actually think I could feel it. I was feeling really run down by the time I got home. so for lunch I had 3.5 ozs 96% lean hamburger, a cup of diced tomato and spices, and it really filled me up. I add water to make it a bit soupy which makes it last longer, oh and a melba toast. I didn't have any fruit yesterday. .so for dinner I fixed a 3.5 ozs chicken breast and a cup of lettuce. I have to admit I did not eat it..I took like2 bites of the chicken and it just didn't taste good to me. I think I am very tired of chicken now. I even added a bit of mustard but I could not eat it. so I ended up going to bed early because I was a bit hungry and had not been sleeping well due to hot flashes so I took something to sleep and off to dreamland I went. This morning I woke up after a pretty good nights sleep and weighed 183.2 so down 1.4 which brings my total to 11.4 for the first week...yayyy..I am pretty happy with that. After I got up and took my pellet and then had my grapefruit, I went to the store and got me a variety of teas since I am having so much trouble with the coffee being sweet enough. I found a awesome one that I had this morning called Sweet and Spicy by Good Earth..OMG, It is awesome. I added 2 packs of stevia and I will admit one pack of splenda...yes I know that is not recommended..after tasting it though I will say I could drink it with just the stevia because it is so so good. Has a nice cinnamon flavor. all of the Teas I got are caffeine free so will see how that goes..may end up getting some with caffeine just to give me more energy. I bought some other flavors as well and will let you know how I like them. ok oneuh2, first of all congrats on almost finishing your first round of HCG, that is really awesome. About the pellets, they are very small and a pinkish color and they taste fruity. I would say cherry or strawberry, or somewhere in between. They take about 10 minutes to dissolve. They are 500 IU of HCG ..you take one a day, Just in the morning. I am not sure if that is the best way or not to be honest. I have heard some say that is better to spread out your dose and the reason for the higher dosage is because of how it is delivered. So is completely different dosage then the injections as far as quantity but it seems to be working ok. I may consider the injections for the second round if I can past my needle phobia, lol. so the drops are minty tasting? I am glad I didn't get those then because that is one of my least favorite flavors. It also has some B12 in it. this is how the prescription reads on the bottle. 500IU/1 MG/10 MG which is HCG/Methyl/Inositol Hope that answers all your questions. I will see how I feel about the pellets once I am at the end and then decide about the injections.

Hello!! The pellets do not have to be spread out. Once the HCG is in your blood, its there for up to 72 hours. Just like taking injections, there is no need for multiple administration throughout the day. Those directions were created by the fake, over the counter product people to make it seem as if the person was actually doing something. They are pinkish in color due to the manufacturing of b12 into the medication.. Good for extra ENERGY!!!!!

Thanks for the info about the pellets -- they sound perfectly good to me, and I think it has been said they don't have to be refrigerated. I would also be sure not to run out before the end of the round. Congrats on your weight loss - you are doing great! And I am glad you found a substitute for the coffee. I have to caution you that sometimes caffeine withdrawal causes headaches.... but it won't last long, especially if you drink a lot of water.

My weight yesterday was 182.0 even so lost 1.2 lbs which brought my total to 12.6 I didn't have a great day yesterday. I was extremely tired and a bit down and craving everything. I ended up having a little milk along with my normal diet. So needless to say I wasn't in such a good mood yesterday..feeling as if I had failed somehow..but today is a new day..I weighed this morning and had gained a lb. so there ya go..there is the milk. Anyway, back to sticking strictly to the protocol today and ordered some of the HCG shakes yesterday too and spoke with someone here about my struggles. Is possible I have not been eating enough calories and also gonna supplement myself with some extra B12 and see if that helps. I am also thinking I will do 2 rounds of 3 weeks with a 3 week break in the middle instead of the whole 6 weeks together. Thinking I would rather break it up a bit and make it a bit more doable then end up going on a full open binge at some point. My attitude is better this morning so hoping that sticks. I am going to make a inspiration board for days like yesterday. Basically covered with things and pictures that will inspire me to stick with it. Motivation can be really hard sometimes and I have certainly had my share of problems with that, but I am determined to make it this time and reach my goal no matter how many rounds it takes. Congrats oneuh2 for finishing your round..i know that must feel great. I am sure you will do great on your phase 3, so much more to chose from so that is great right. Hope you have a awesome day and hope you keep posting here while you are on maint. I

Well has been 4 days since I last posted here..I seem to be having a stall..I did lose that lb again that I gained so I am back to 182. but no change since then,so if no change by in the morning will try either a steak day or a apple day. I have eaten exactly as I should have but no change. I am not really too worried. I know it will come off at some point. I am still thinking I will stop at 3 weeks and take a 3 week break and do maint or at least that is where my head is right now. that means I have a week left of vlcd so will see how I feel in a week. My cravings don't seem to be as intense as they were so that is good. Anyway, will post when I have a change to report, so I hope that will be soon. lol
