After Round 1 - Pause before Round 2

I have today that I consider time off the VLC much tougher than time on it.... Already I have eaten some sugary items in celebration, and I am up a half pound and feeling the night ime poor circulation in my hands that happens when I eat sugar. So today is day one of mindful eating. A key ingredient to doing this successfully is re-reading the new guide fom Nu Image Medical. I am heading off to do that now, and I will share what I am learning. Breakfast today is an egg and egg white scramble... I know that oatmeal, my favorite, is highly discouraged. Lunch is a ground beef burger and green beans cooked in low sodium chicken broth. I have tentative dinner plans for Korean food... Just some meat and veggies, for me. If the dinner out falls thru it will be baked salmon at home with steamed cabbage and maybe some sliced tomatoe. Gotta stay on the water too! Stay tuned....

Hello oneuh2, I would not beat yourself up so much about celebrating a bit. I think that is normal. Just keep in mind that you now have a lot more variety and ways to spice up your meals. If I am not mistaken the main thing is to avoid the sugars and starches and with that in mind there is so much more you can eat. Would be a great time to play with some of the healthy fats and such to see what they can bring to your meals and veggies. You have a lot to be proud of. Six weeks of the HCG Protocol is quite an accomplishment. I am struggling with just staying on it for 3 weeks, so be proud of what you have accomplished. I look forward to hearing more about how maint is going. Take care and keep moving forward. You can do it.

Sorry i have been so absent this week - i confess that I am struggling. I ave regained 4 Lbs - i am at 212. I am sure now that the HCG was helping control my appetite cause i am definitely more hungry now. I am trying to focus on protein and veggies, and I think that dairy products like yogurt just spike my desire for sugar. I really need to do a steak day and cut that regain back. I hope to do that tomorrow or Monday. Tho my news is not encouraging, I want to keep tuning in here. Just knowing i have to report can help me resist cravings.

Another week has passed... I decided to do weight watchers online to track my food a bit differently and sure enough, I am managing my hunger better and I offloaded the extra pounds. I think this is a pretty good interim measure. And their e tools for tracking food intake and activity spend seem to work well. So I am doing okay, and hoping to lose a few pounds, slowly, as I prepare for the next round. I will be checking in periodically to let you know how I am doing.
