Although the HCG is one of the simplest weight loss programs available, there still a few challenges. The truth of the matter is that a large percentage of these challenges stem from confusion and misinformation. Rule number one to completing the HCG Diet:
Stick to 500 calories – Over the years, many marketers and fly by night operations have made it their mission to make the HCG Diet as appealing as possible in order to turn around and push fraudulent products to you. As a result, there have been many variations to the HCG Diet. Don't fall for these tricks. The real HCG Diet consists of daily caloric intake of 500 calories. Not 1000, or 800. Dr. Simeons recommended 500 calories for all of his patients in the 60's ad 70's, and to this day, we do the same. This very low calorie diet has helped millions of people across the world burn fat and reshape their bodies for well over 50 years. Stick to it unless you're told otherwise by your physician!
Do not exercise – it is completely natural for us to believe that if we work out while dieting, that our results will be that much greater. This is not true for the HCG Diet. The truth of the matter is that while on the HCG diet , anything more than a brisk 30 minute walk could end up slowing down (or in some cases halting) your progress. Don't partake in any strength or cardiovascular training while on the HCG Diet. Exercise could also bring about hunger, due to the increased caloric output, so it is imperative that you follow this rule.
Drink a lot of water – Whenever a patient complains of feeling lethargic, the first question we ask is: "Are you drinking enough water?" Staying hydrated on a low calorie diet is key. This means that in order to make things safer and easier on yourself, you must consume as much water a possible on a daily basis. This will help your energy, and will also help your body get rid of the fat stores.
